Re: Invitation to participate 2nd Annual Pencak Silat U.S. Open

With the success of it’s debut in the SEA Games, Asian Games, University and World Championship games, Silat Martial Arts, Inc. would like to invite your group to join the 2nd Annual Florida International Pencak Silat Open on 8:00am to 8:00 pm Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Hill-Gustat Middle School Gymnasium, in Sebring, Florida.

The event is supported by the International Pencak Silat Federation and 3 (three) events will be presented to all participants, namely sparring, forms or Jurus, and weapons (Eskrima or Arnis). This prestigious tournament will be joined by countries like Germany, Ireland, France, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, and the Philippines. Attached are the competition ground rules and guidelines for coaches and players. We are expecting a total of 500 participants with their coaches and up to 60 technical officials, and around 1,500 guests and parents. Silat Martial Arts, Inc. and the organizing committee will be glad to see your formidable team competing in this major gathering of the best Pencak Silat teams in America, Europe, and Asia.

Our community in Florida is in full force in bringing this event to the Martial Arts Community. Top sporting companies have expressed their support in the tournament, making it one of the biggest events in Central Florida this year.
